Hola Gorgeous chicas and chicos and thanks for spending some of your Wednesday conmigo!!! This Wednesday we are having fun with an essential feature of the face that Matte..ers ,that is the lips! Lately the craze has been liquid matte lipsticks. Tarte Cosmetics has launched 13 beautiful shades from there Tarteist Collection Lip Paints.
-tbt ( mauve)
– frenemy (burgundy)
– hangry (berry)
-yaassss ( lavender)
-adorbs (hot pink)
-so fetch ( pinky coral)
-manbun (dark berry)
-selfish (bright pink)
-cray-cray ( orange)
These lip paints have a creamy consistency and aren’t harsh on the lip like other liquid matte lipsticks. Each color is rich in detail and has an equally pretty hue lip liner ( or lip crayon) that accompanies each lipstick.
The wear of the lip paint is long lasting I found myself having to only re-apply on average 2-3 times. Whether I had eaten or was speaking over the course of an 8 hour shift at work . More importantly, I did not feel any harsh wear and tear to my lips from wearing matte lipstick; and that’s super important. Matte lipsticks are dry formulas which allow them to wear longer, however they can do a number on your lips.
Pro Tip1: Prep the lip with a soothing lip balm or lip primer.
Pro Tip 2: After a day’s wear with a matte Lipstick, take off with makeup remover and apply a lip scrub to exfoliate the lips. (splurge: Lush has amazing scrubs in different scents or skimp on the cost and use e.l.f’s lip scrub for $3)
The lip paints retail for $20 and can be purchased at Macys, Ulta, Sephora and tartecosmetics.com
