So I recently received several questions in regard to concealers. Many of you wanted to know which brand(s) I use on a daily basis. Two of my favorite go-to concealers are MAC’s Studio Finish Concealer ($19.00) and LA Pro Girl ($2.99). MAC offers several different types of concealers, I opted for this particular one for my problem areas. I naturally have dark circles under my eyes which worsen when I don’t get enough beauty sleep. So this particular formula offers full coverage for under my eyes, giving me a fresh face in minutes. The key to finding the correct concealer color is to buy 1 to 2 shades lighter than your complexion. I repeat, ONLY 1-2 shades lighter than your complexion. Concealer should be applied in a upside-down triangle under your eyes so it makes it easier to blend out the edges into your foundation. You can also use concealer to clean up your brows. Once you fill in your brows, take an angled brush and dip it in the concealer, then lightly follow the shape of your brows on the bottom (if you’re trying to achieve a more natural look, don’t line the top). This will define the shape of your brow and make them stand out. The LA Pro Girl concealer is a great dupe for MAC’s Studio Finish Concealer. They share the same consistency and thickness. They are both very easy to blend and build up to full coverage. The best thing about LA Pro Girl is it retails for $2.99, for all my cost conscious fashionistas.
